“Velveteen: The Real Girl Short Fiction Collection: A Short Fiction Collection, By: Velveteen” is the story of a young Woman who travels back in time to 1983 San Francisco, where she descends into the seedy underground circuit. She subsequently triumphs over her "Manager” (Lil Boochie), as well as the symbolic representation of Pure Evil embodied in the character Jackie_drew. In the end, Velveteen goes on to find Love and Redemption at an eponymously-named Chicken Sandwich Restaurant.

"So how did this alleged conversation that never happened affect my mother? It's hard to say. And, once again, under what circumstances would such a conversation ever occur?"

"You are manipulative."

"Well. She had literally just met this impartial third party, and apparently she kind of just blurted it out."

"Sounds like someone is being manipulated."

"What?"

"If she ever even made made that statement to begin with, which we have already established never happened, probably, her son brought it upon himself. He exaggerates."
