Thomas W. Murphy of Marstons Mills, a social worker employed by the Falmouth School system, will be the guest speaker at a meeting of Cape Cod Community Council on Thursday, Jan. 11, at East Bay Lodge In Osterville.
Mr. Murphy, director of Falmouth's Title I Program which is set up for working specifically with educationally disadvantaged children, will *alk on Developing Communications and Reading Improvement in Children.
Mr. Murphy, who has a Master's degree in Social Work from Catholic University, had 15 years of experience in the field of family and child welfare before coming to the Cape in 1964. He taught psychology and social work at University of Detroit and is presently completing his requirements for a doctorate in psychological counselling at Boston College.
Community Council meetings are open to the general public, and reservations for the luncheon meeting may be made by phoning Mrs Harriet C. Hall at 775-8181.
