“Velveteen: The Real Girl Short Fiction Collection: A Short Fiction Collection, By: Velveteen” is the story of a young Woman who travels back in time to 1983 San Francisco, where she descends into the seedy underground circuit. She subsequently triumphs over her "Manager” (Lil Boochie), as well as the symbolic representation of Pure Evil embodied in the character Jackie_drew. In the end, Velveteen goes on to find Love and Redemption at an eponymously-named Chicken Sandwich Restaurant.

"A serene family environment"
Homemakers Hold Open House

Despite the weather, about 60 people attended the traditional open house of Cape Cod Homemaker Service last Sunday at the home of the executive director of the service, Mrs. Harriet Hall on Valley Rd.
During the open house, recognition was paid to the dedicated Homemakers who participate in community service.
Service offered by the Homemakers is to families when a mother is ill or hospitalized and to the elderly - when maintenance of
a serene family environment
is so important.
Welcoming the Homemakers was the executive committee and board members of the service. President is
David Rockwood of Ostervllle; treasurer,
Charles Cassldy of Ostervllle; and secretary-clerk,
Mrs. Mary Thomas of Centerville.
