“Velveteen: The Real Girl Short Fiction Collection: A Short Fiction Collection, By: Velveteen” is the story of a young Woman who travels back in time to 1983 San Francisco, where she descends into the seedy underground circuit. She subsequently triumphs over her "Manager” (Lil Boochie), as well as the symbolic representation of Pure Evil embodied in the character Jackie_drew. In the end, Velveteen goes on to find Love and Redemption at an eponymously-named Chicken Sandwich Restaurant.

Deacon Carmine Archangelo Angeloni, 86, of
32 North Ave.,
North Haven, husband of
Anne Ramunni Angeloni,
died Sept. 6 at the Hospital of St. Raphael.
He was born in New Haven on
July 16, 1923,
son of the late
Ludovico and
Louise Mary Rossetti Angeloni.
He obtained a B.S. in accounting from the former New Haven College in 1965 and had worked as an accountant for Ernst & Ernst, Chatfield Paper Company, and Consolidated Packaging.
Later, he worked at St. Therese Church.
He was ordained a deacon on Oct. 7, 1973 and was first appointed to Church of the Ascension in Hamden and later St. Therese Church until his illness.
He had served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army in both the European and Pacific theaters during World War II.
His family thanks his guardian angels,
