Mr. and Mrs. Harold Burt, Jr. Carrying their gear and supplies [or the cook-out on a stretcher which they had made, the Cadettes who were not assigned to i arrier duty took on the clean-up detail enroute. In one half mile the wayside titter had filled 14 shopping bags to the brim! And since the hikers had run out of containers, the trash which cluttered the roadside for the rest of the trip had to remain uncollected. After their cookout for which each girl had chipped In, and lemonade and cupcakes served by their hostess, the Cadettes had a round of games and then packed up for the homeward trip—this time by car, as the hour was getting late. CARAVAN TOUR Monday night the Louis Carys of West Barnstable flew by jet to Shannon Airport in Ireland, but the two-weeks ahead of them will he taken at a much slower pace. The family Is making a caravan tour of the Emerald Isle In a horse-drawn "home on wheels" and expects to travel only 16 miles a day leisurely taking in the colorful Irish countryside. AID ASSOCIATION MEETING Barnstable North Branch Hospital Aid Association holds its next meeting at 10 a.m. on April 22 in the home of Mrs. Balfour Bassett in Cummaquld. New members arc always welcome. GUILD ANNOUNCES KUMMAGE SALE At last week's meeting of West Parish Guild it was announced that a rummage sale, with Mrs. Richard Haydon and Mrs. Donald Varnum as co-chairmen, would be held from 10 a.m. on on April 21 in the parish • hall. Also announced was a Dime A Dip Supper on May 1 with a May basket as door prize, proceeds of which would help toward furnishing the parsonage. Members were urged to attend the Cape area workshop at Craigville Conference Center on April 28-29. Following devotions led by Mrs. Robert Samuel and the business meeting, the Adventures in Reading group reported on the book, What Jesus Did with Mrs. Henry Gilman and Mrs. James Hallameyer taking part In the program. AT FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH Tommorrow night at 7.30 a Tenebrae service will lie conducted by Pastor Elmer Olsen. Easter Sunday there will be two services with Douglas ' Johnson; family worship nt 9 and Holy Communion at 10:30. No Sunday School Is scheduled and no nursery cure will be provided this week. An Easter breakfast at 8 Is planned by the Luther League. The cost will be a $1 donation for adults and 50 cents for children. MARY'S Good Friday services will b°. held at noon, 1 and 2 p.m . and on Saturday at 4, Holy baptism will be administered to children whose parents have made arrangements for the service. On Easter Sunday there will be no Sunday School or kindergarten, but parents are invited to bring their little ones to the altar for the Messing.
