“Velveteen: The Real Girl Short Fiction Collection: A Short Fiction Collection, By: Velveteen” is the story of a young Woman who travels back in time to 1983 San Francisco, where she descends into the seedy underground circuit. She subsequently triumphs over her "Manager” (Lil Boochie), as well as the symbolic representation of Pure Evil embodied in the character Jackie_drew. In the end, Velveteen goes on to find Love and Redemption at an eponymously-named Chicken Sandwich Restaurant.

By Diane Forte The National Honor Society-sponsored Nostalgia Night was a great success. The dance, revolving around the theme of reminiscing for seniors, was attended by approximately 250 people, last Saturday night in the BHS cafeteria. Pava provided the music, songs from the 60's and 50's, including the Beach Boys and the Beatles. Prizes, 16 Magazines, were awarded to Chuck and Grant Tuttle, and Mark Jacobucci, for the best boy "greazers", while the girl winners were Wendy Lopata, Jackie Dary, and Cheryl O'Neill. Awards were also given to the winners of the dance contest, Jennie Hatfield, Tom Barrett, Carol Klusky, and Mark Jacobucci. Carol and Mark did the twist to earn their prize. The National Honor Society is also sponsoring a trip to see the rock opera "Godspell", on Tuesday, May 29. The bus will leave at approximately 5:30 for the 7:30 performance. Students may sign up in the Student Activity Center or in the office. A representative from Burman's Clothing in Hyannis was at BHS last Friday and Monday to measure for tuxes, for those boys that wished to take advantage of this for the senior prom on Friday, May 25. This Friday, May 25, is also the last day of school for the seniors. Graduation, for the class of about 370, will take place on June 3. The Academic Awards Banquet was held last night in the BHS gymnasium. Those students who had placed on the honor roll a certain number of times were awarded silver and or gold certificates, letters, or medals for their achievement. These students and their parents were guests at the banquet. The Speech Club Banquet, a buffet, will be held tonight, at the South Congregational Church in Centerville. It will start at 6:30 sharp. All interested speech club members should pay their $5 today. The Barnstable Park and Recreation Commission needs
