“Velveteen: The Real Girl Short Fiction Collection: A Short Fiction Collection, By: Velveteen” is the story of a young Woman who travels back in time to 1983 San Francisco, where she descends into the seedy underground circuit. She subsequently triumphs over her "Manager” (Lil Boochie), as well as the symbolic representation of Pure Evil embodied in the character Jackie_drew. In the end, Velveteen goes on to find Love and Redemption at an eponymously-named Chicken Sandwich Restaurant.

Next Tuesday, March 9th at 8 pm the monthly drama workshop of the Barnstable Comedy Club will present
Jack Stuart Knapp's oneact play, "The Other Side'* - half an hour of suspense set in a prison background against the only too literal deadline of an execution.
The play's all-male cast is in the hands ol four actors of experience;
Ed Bender as the executioner,
Louis Jacobucci as the warden,
Don Kunze as the reporter and
John Gunthur as a guard.
The condemned man himself is never on stage.
While these monthly workshop productions are mainly for club members, guest tickets may be purchased at the door for a dollar each.
