A meeting of Centerville's Cub Scout Pack No. 54 held in South Congregational Church vestry Friday evening was opened with the Flag Ceremony led by
David Luke, followed by the Scout Oath led by Peter Brooks and the Scout Promise led by Stanley Buckler, 2nd.
Boys of the various dens presented skits under the theme of America's Trail Blazers featuring
Pligrims and Indians — Den 1,
Danlei Boone — Den 2.
Robert Fulton — Den 3;
Richard Byrd — Den 4,
Thomas Edison — Den 6 and
John Glen — Den 7.

"Oh, sure. There was always something going on. Cub Scouts, she was like Den Mother of her older son's Cub Scout Pack. Pack 54. Plus the Comedy Club. Plus I'm pretty sure, she was involved in the kindergarten. She and her husband both. And politics. It was the Sixties."
