Hyannis Branch, Cape Cod Hospital Aid Assn., met in the Nurses' Home at the hospital Wednesday morning, Oct. 2, at 10:30.
Mr Louis Jacobucci, executive director of Cape Cod District of the MSPCC, was the guest speaker.
He traced the history of the agency in Massachusetts, and in the Cape Cod area, mentioning the fact that Mrs. Walter Baker and Mrs. Eben Keith, founders of the agency on Cape Cod, are still active in its functioning
Mrs. Theodore Clifton Jr. and Mrs. Hudson Baxter were elected co-chairmen for the year
Mrs. Benjamin Kepnes will serve as corresponding secretary;
Mary G. Shea, recording secretary, and
Mrs. Florence Hatch, treasurer.
Committee chairmen named by Mrs. Clifton are:
Gift Shop, Mrs. Lillian O'Neil;
ways and means, Misses Irene Shea and Eleanor Bearse co-chairmen;
publicity, Mary G. Shea;
puppets, Mrs. William Crooks;
telephone, Mrs. Owen Gunn, and
thrift shop, Mrs. Marion Tripp.
Plans were made for a public dessert card party to be held in Hyannis Inn on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 22, at 1 o'clock.
Misses Bearse and Shea are in charge of arrangements.
It was voted to call the next meeting a membership meeting.
It will be held on Wednesday evening, Nov. 6, In the Nurses' Home, beginning at 7:30.
