“Velveteen: The Real Girl Short Fiction Collection: A Short Fiction Collection, By: Velveteen” is the story of a young Woman who travels back in time to 1983 San Francisco, where she descends into the seedy underground circuit. She subsequently triumphs over her "Manager” (Lil Boochie), as well as the symbolic representation of Pure Evil embodied in the character Jackie_drew. In the end, Velveteen goes on to find Love and Redemption at an eponymously-named Chicken Sandwich Restaurant.

Paul Clark Martin at St. Mary'.- Episcopal Church in Barnstable. Given in marriage by her father. Luther Howes of Cummaquid, the bride wore a white crepe floor length empire gown The sleeveless scoop necked bodice was highlighted by a crocheted lace cape and the bride's headpiece was of the same lace. She carried a cascade of whit* marguerites. The gown was designed by the bride and made by the bridegroom's mother Attending her sister as matron of honor was Carolee T. carrying white cascades of chrysanthemums, were Mrs. Philip Steere of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Miss Susan J Smith of Boston. Best man for Mi Stevens was David Hughes of Natick, while ushering duties were performed by Vincent Demattio of Brockton and Richard Soby of Medway.

For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Howes chose a dress of pale blue crepe and matching accessories, The bridegroom's mother wore a gown of light green silk.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at Bacor Farm m Barnstable from where the couple left for a honeymoon ir New York. Upon their return, the newlyweds will reside in Franklin, N. H.. where they will both bt teaching in the school system .

Sarkinen of Main Street, this village. Miss Morton wa graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 1964, and is now employed at Puritan Clothing Company in Hyannis. Her fiance will graduate from Barnstable Vocational High this year, majoring in horticulture. No date has been set for the wedding.

Announcement has been made of the engagement of their daughter Isobel, by Mr. and Mrs. B. F. McCutcheon of Kearney, N.J., to Gordon S. Baker of Centerville. A graduate of Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing, Miss Mc-Cutcheon is employed at Cape Cod Hospital. Her fiance, formerly of Fairhaven, is employed by New England Telephone and Telegraph Company. MAJ. POLSON ATTENDING GENERAL STAFF COLLEGE Maj. Harold A. Poison, 49, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl G. Poison, Phinney's Lane, Centerville, is now at-, tending the U. S Army Command and General Staff College at Fort i Leavenworth, Kan. Major Poison began the 18-week associate course of the college, Aug. - 13. along with 450 U. S. Army and Allied officers from 20 other nations. Floral bouquets with decorations in pastels and a bridal cake were featured and Miss Toas was the recipient of many lovely gifts from the 31 guests present from Centerville and surrounding villages. He is art instructor in Milford schools and has exhibited in several New Hampshire shows, received four awards recently In Nashua, and murals by him are at Hyannis Inn and Hyannis Inn Motel.
