School Officials Announce Boundaries For Hyannis Elementary Districts; More New Teachers Appointed By Committee
Appointment ot a supervising prhicipal and three teachers, as well as .he establishment ol school districts for the new Hyannis West Elementary School and the Hyannis Elementary School, constituted business of the Barnstable School Committee at a mee.lng held Tuesday night. William B. Fratus of Hyannis, principal of the Centervllle School for the past six years, was named supervising principal of the Center-Vllle and Cotult Elementary Schools. Before becoming principal of the Cen ervllle School, Mr. Fratus had served as a teacher in the Orleans and Barnstable High Schools. Ho holds a Bachelor's Degree from the former Hyannis State Teachers College and has done advanced work at Brldgcwatcr Btato College. Mrs. Lillian I. Bouwolno of Centervllle was appointed a fourth grade teacher In the Hyannis Elementary School. Mrs. Houwelno holds a Bachelor's Degree from Hyannis State Teachers College and taught four years In Falmouth, throe years in Louisville, Ky., and one year in the American Overscan School System in Germany. Mrs. Pauline A. Johnson of West Yarmouth was a teacher to teach a third grade In the Hyannis Elementary School third grado teacher named. Mrs. Johnson holds Bachelor's Degrees from Mt. Holyokc and Simmons Colleges and will receive a Muster's Degree lrom Bridgewater State this mimmor. For the past four years she has taught In the Henry T. Wing School,

Mrs, Phlnnoy holds a Bachelor's Degree from Brldgowater Stale College and for the past 11 years has boon associated with Cape Cod Hospl.al where at Uic present sho is serving as principal of tho School of Practical Nursing. DISTRICT BOUNDARIES School officials plan to enroll 476 pupils In the Hyannis Elementary School where Micro aro 18 olan»- roums and 441 pupils In tho now llymml-i West School which has 17 class rooms. Tho school committee ha accepted tho new building as "substantially complete" as ol April 12. Only a few minor finishing touches remain to be dono.
