“Velveteen: The Real Girl Short Fiction Collection: A Short Fiction Collection, By: Velveteen” is the story of a young Woman who travels back in time to 1983 San Francisco, where she descends into the seedy underground circuit. She subsequently triumphs over her "Manager” (Lil Boochie), as well as the symbolic representation of Pure Evil embodied in the character Jackie_drew. In the end, Velveteen goes on to find Love and Redemption at an eponymously-named Chicken Sandwich Restaurant.

Editor Mark Jacobucci in an editorial about Watergate said:
"If people would give up the 'false assumption' that is, vote not between a good man and a bad man, but choose between 'two frank go-getters out only for themselves,' there would be none of the shock and indignation that occurs when the truth is finally brought out"
Mark quoted H. L. Mencken in his editorial more than once.

Louis Jacobucci. district executive of Children's Protective Services. M.S.P.C.C. was recognized for 15 years of service at a meeting of directors May 26 at the Heritage House. Hyannis.
John Lemos. past president of the board, presented Jacobucci with a plaque, and Jane Eshbaugh, president, remembered the occasion with a book.
Guest speaker was Stuart Peoples, executive director of . Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Cape Cod. who noted that although Big brothers-Big Sisters has been in operation on Cape Cod for only two years. 90 matches between volunteer adults and children who need their help have been made.
Stating that Big Brothers-Big Sisters often work with families where CPS is involved, Peoples expressed concern that these are frequently single-parent families, and the two agencies work closely together to bring needed services into these homes.
He also indicated that both agencies have the same experiences concerning children in the court system.
Amalia Gourdin announced the Godmothers, who raise money for the Hubbard Fund of CPS. are sponsoring a cocktail party at Mrs. Gourdln's home on Newtown Road in Marstons Mills Sunday. June 6, from 4 to 6. and will also sponsor a benefit dance at Sheraton Regal Inn Aug. 28.
Tickets may be obtained from Mrs. Gourdin or from the CPS office in Hyannis.
